Great article, thanks for sharing your tag cloud technology. I have found a completely free (including commercial websites) tag cloud script written in PHP on http://www.softwaremastercenter.com/free-tag-cloud-generator-script.html. I like it because it has a built-in text-to-tags parser and it filters out common words - if you inspect the code they provide you will see maybe a thousand common words. For fact, I have actually added more words to it. The styling options are pretty decent.

Hi Viktor Krantz!

May I ask something that seems to have nothing about the topic? If no, please just ignore the next question. If yes, here it comes: Which text editor are you using?
About the topic, I'm still a newbie in programming, but your explanations made me understand almost everything!
Thanks!

Brazilian greetings,
Leo

Hi

Well now the script perfectly works even with an XDomain dojo.

However, a feature would be soo good to have is the possibility to add a function to be launched as soon as the tag cloud is fully shown

(add a function at the end of _displayTags that could be given in parameter of mydojo.TagCloud)

Thanks for your work Viktor

@Praveen,
Sorry for the link in the bottom of the post. I fixed that.
The link at the top right under Downloads always worked though.

Hi Viktor Krantz,

Thanks for posting this wonderful article. To me this is the only source to lear tag cloud using Dojo. I for some reason am unable to download the source as the link is missing.

Could you please help me getting access to it. Its very important for me now as I am involved in a very critical project.

Hi! Nice tutorial.

I have a little question. I used it in firefox and opera and worked perfect, but for some reason it does not seem to work in internet explorer.

The only difference from your installation is that I use dojo 1.2.3

Any hints? Thanks!!

PS. the issue IE reports is:
Line: 17
Char: 57124
Error: 'undefined' is null or not an object
Code: 0

Hello Victor,

Thank you for this writeup. Do you have any of your writing on developing widgets using Dojo. Pointers will be helpful.

Thanks,
Jay
